Witness: The Story of Virginia Hill is in pre-production. At the present time, we are casting the title role of Virginia Hill in this full-length, three-act, one-actor play in Las Vegas and Denver. More information and questions about casting can be obtained by calling (720) 216-3042 or emailing info@actoneproductions.
The role of Virginia Hill is played by an actor who can portray a woman in her 40s. The casting process begins by sending a resume and headshot to info@actoneproductions.org. The deadline for submitting a resume and headshot is July 1, 2024. Upon receipt of these materials a Zoom audition will be scheduled.
The audition itself will include an actor presenting a two-minute monologue from a dramatic play, film, or TV show. Due to the personality of the real-life Virginia Hill, certain comedic cuttings might also work.
Upon receipt of an actor's resume and headshot, a side from the Witness script will be sent. An actor needs to be prepared to read from any part of the side at the audition but is not expected to memorize the piece.
Upon its premiere, which is slated for 2023, Witness will join a number of other successful one-actor plays from the same creative team, some that are beginning their eighth year in continuous production. Click on titles to obtain more information about these productions:

Callback auditions, following the completion of all scheduled Zoom initial auditions, will occur in person in Las Vegas and Denver during the month of August 2024. Callbacks will involve the director, playwright, and producers. Callbacks will focus exclusively on cuttings from the script.
The cast and crew of Witness will receive compensation based on experience. Compensation is negotiable. The actor portraying Virginia Hill in Witness will be paid a stipend for each performance. Typically, a 50% payment is made about a month before a scheduled performance, the balance paid on the day of a show.
The initial contract will cover an actor's performance in Witness for six months at the agreed stipend with an option on the part of both parties to renew with a 10% increase in the initial stipend for another six month term.
In Stand Still & Look Stupid, Mike Broemmel tells the incomparable life story of Hedy Lamarr. Known during the Golden Age of Hollywood as "the most beautiful girl in the world," Hedy Lamarr is also the inventor that made the Digital Age possible. The play has been in production for nine years.
